WebWorkz Unlimited use Policy |
Unlimited AccessThe policy below is in place to protect you, our valued customer. It is not meant to restrict your Internet use. It is simply designed to restrict those who abuse our system. WebWorkz can only offer unlimited access hours service with the cooperation of our customers. Your WebWorkz account entitles you to un-metered, attended, unlimited hours- but reasonable and responsable access to the Internet through our service. If you are attempting to remain logged into our system 24 hours a day, this is not reasonable...and can create busy signals and congestion for those who abide by this policy. If you would like to view statistics of your time online, please select here.If you abuse this policy, your account may be terminated without notice. Idle TimeoutIn an effort to limit abuse and keep phone lines available for WebWorkz members who are actively using their account, WebWorkz may enact a 30 minute idle timeout. This means if you have not actively used your account for this period of time, the session may be terminated. Sending or receiving email, calling up web pages, and opening a newsgroup are all examples of activity. Should this occur, you are free to immediately dial back in if you are actively using the service. We currently do not enact this idle timeout but reserve the right to do so in order to preserve the availability of Unlimited Access. Session TimeoutWebWorkz has a 6 hour session timeout. If you are logged in for more than 6 hours continuously, WebWorkz reserves the right to terminate the session, even if you have activity. This is a safeguard against abuse and phone lines being "hung" and unavailable to callers. Should this occur, you are free to immediately dial back in if you are actively using the service. Again, we currently do not enact this session timeout but reserve the right to do so in order to preserve the availability of Unlimited Access. Multiple Logon AttemptsYour account allows you 1 concurrent connection on our server at any given time with your username and password. Should our server indicate a multiple logon attempt of the same username and password (at the same time), the attempt will be logged and the connection may not be successful. Numerous and repeated attempts at establishing more than 1 concurrent connection with the same username and password will result in account termination, without notice. If you have given your password to others, you may want to consider having WebWorkz change your password. Fair PlayWebWorkz is proud to be able to offer Unlimted hour service to our customers and simply asks for fair play and consideration of other customers' right to use the internet. |
